在2019年12月初终评结束至2020年3月中旬落下帷幕的被誉为我国中学生英语“奥赛”的全国中学生英语能力测评（National English Proficiency Test for Secondary School Students，英文简称NEPTS）中，石家庄外国语教育集团高中部十一年级学生积极参与，取得了全国一等奖与二等奖的好成绩。
本届大赛由国际英语外语教师协会中国英语外语教师协会(TEFL- China)与国家基础教育实验中心外语教育研究中心联合举办，参赛对象面向全国中学生，分为初赛与终评两阶段笔试比赛。
石外集团高中部十一年级学生近400人于2019年11月上旬报名参加初赛，通过初赛的学生，在教学主任贾志锋与保送班班主任王红等老师的指导下，于12月初二阶段考试前夕参与终评，经过不懈努力和激烈竞赛，最终五人以全国一等奖获奖比例为参加初评总人数2‰ 、全国二等奖获奖比例8‰、全国三等奖获奖比例10‰的评判标准取得了一人一等奖、四人二等奖的优异成绩，为石外集团赢得了竞赛荣誉，展示了石外学子的英语学习能力与雄厚的师资力量，凸显了石外英语学习的示范引领作用与教学成果质量。
全国中学生英语能力测评原全国中学生英语能力竞赛，是全国规模最大的英语学科竞赛，是我国基础外语教育的重要奖励机制之一，是面向全国中学生举办的综合性英语能力竞赛，是全面贯彻中共中央、国务院《关于全面深化教育体制机制改革的意见》等指导意见，进一步促进我国基础教育阶段英语教学质量的提高，激发广大中学师生英语教与学的积极性，提高广大中学生的英语综合运用能力、学习能力，激励中学英语教学和学习中成绩突出的师生、学校和教研单位的一项赛事。本竞赛每年举办一次，分各赛区初赛、决赛和全国总决赛三个阶段，每年暑假举办全国总决赛。期间，各省选手有机会参加全国中学生英语演讲比赛、全国中学生英语辩论赛、全国中学生英语风采大赛以及全国优秀中学生英语学习经验交流会等系列活动。初评和终评以依标（课程标准）、靠本（现行课本）、求新（多用新题型）为命题原则，既有同步性，又有水平度。试题既考查了中学生的英语基础知识和基本技能，又侧重考查了英语综合运用能力学习能力和智力水平。
?以下是获奖同学的参赛感受与经验分享：
十一年级（8）班 董欣怡
我很荣幸能够获得高二年级的英语能力竞赛一等奖并在此抒发我对于此次竞赛的一些粗浅感受。首先，我想先借此表达我对于可爱而耐心的Helen（王红老师）的感谢，如果没有她的谆谆教诲、循循善诱和对我的肯定与支持，我也许很难达到这样的成绩。其次，我还想要对那个在除夕夜仍秉烛夜读的自己说一声：你做到了！目标是指引我们前进征途的北极星，一心向着自己目标前进的人，全世界都会为他让路。而坚持就是通往胜利前途的花路，“千淘万漉虽辛苦，吹尽黄沙始到金”，脚踏实地埋头做事的人，未来绝对不会辜负她的点滴付出。叔本华曾经说过：“世上的每一朵玫瑰都是有刺的，如果因为怕刺扎破手指，就此舍之，那么你永远也无法得到玫瑰的芬芳。”因此，目标明确，勇于挑战，永不言弃是成功的不二法门。
It’s my honor to share some of my true feelings with you guys here and say something about my own ways to learn English well. I frequently remind myself of three sentences. And the first one is: you should try hard to be the best and stand at the peak. This makes me motivated and energetic all the time because I have a dream in my heart. And all I need to do is to run towards it. The second one is a question: dream is just an imagination, what truly matters is how you bring it into reality. I always think about it and so I can come up with many methods to solve the problems that block my way leading to success. And that kind of reflect and thinking can help me know myself better and have a thorough understanding of my current situation and ability. Therefore, I’m always down to earth. The third one is that: impossible is I’m possible. It gives me courage and confidence to carry on and move forward. There is nothing that we cannot achieve, but only things that we don’t dare to do. So once you set a goal, just stick to it and keep running towards it.
十一年级（8）班 丁含章
“站在石外高中的舞台上，你总是会有更多的机会去获得成功。”这句话来自一位考上清华的石外学长之口，而我也一直因这句话，对石外高中多彩生活，抱着期许。而不久前，这期许，又应验了。
获得全国英语能力竞赛二等奖的消息对我来说既是惊，又是喜。那场考试给我的感觉并不是胜券在握，而是忧心忡忡。不过，正如胡适先生说的那样：“昨日种种，皆成今我。”坚实的基础和对英语的热爱，让奖项眷顾了我一回。奖项是对能力的肯定，但考试的过程却是在揭露能力的不足。对我来说，我的书写清晰度和行文脉络的把握还是要着重加强的。距离决定我命运的保送考试还有不到半年，我相信在老师的带领下我会突破我的难关，用好每一天，Prepare for the day of tomorrow！
借此机会，我想向所有帮助过我的老师，亲人，同学表达真挚的感谢。并同时分享一下我对于英语学习的浅见拙知。
On hearing the news that I have won the second prize of NEPCS, I was thrilled and overwhelmed by exultation.
However jubilant or cheerful I was, at that singular moment, I cannot and should not forget it is on the ground of whose effort that I can achieve this pride. I would like to pay my sincere gratitude to Helen, my friends, Jag, Ms. Gao, Ms. Ma, and my mother, without whose kind assistance never could I have won this award.
One of my “tricks” in achieving this award is engagement. We need to immerse ourselves into English adoring the language. As for me, I combined learning English with other subjects.
I am interested in what is going on around the world, so news from CGTN, China Daily, and documentaries from BBC are good resources. Various activities provided me with a good chance to implement what I have learned, and at the same time, improve my communication skills. I have taken part in SDC(学生外交使团),SEK(瑞典环保精英夏令营) and MUN conferences(模联会议) to meet diverse people, enlarging my knowledge greatly and improving my ability to cope with different situations. I am keen on reading, especially original classics like The Moon and Sixpence is my favorite book.
Certainly, the methods of learning vary from person to person, but one thing in common is that it must have a gratifying process. Whatever it might be, we have to engage ourselves to fulfill our goals. No distractions, no diversions, each of us has only a one-way ticket to our ideal universities. Therefore we can never retreat or give up. Each of us has been through struggles in learning, not only going through them, but also growing through them.
Shakespeare once said, “Sweet are the uses of adversity.” Now, I have tasted a little bit of such sweetness. Hope you can get yours soon!
十一年级（8）班 贾松绮
“从这里走向世界”反射出浓厚的外语氛围。课堂上Helen和Jag谆谆教诲，耐心解疑答难，40分钟的时间里讲不尽异域文化，宽敞的教室内观世界领袖们挥斥方遒。学海无涯，英国原版教材，各国领导人演讲，英文原版名著，等等鲜活有趣的材料是老师提供给我们最精彩的知识资源。感谢老师们，让我在活跃的课堂氛围中热爱英语，为今后学习奠定坚实的基础，课外异彩纷呈的外语活动再次丰富了口语表达能力，模联，粮食奖，外语艺术节……感谢石外，在一次次亲身经历中我收获的不只有越来越流利的口语表达，更是放眼世界，胸怀天下的广阔视野。上高中以来每天在课堂上、课外活动中沉浸在英语的学习氛围中，日复一日的练习才会有所收获。一纸证书是对过往汗水的肯定，是对今后旅程的激励。而在石外浓厚的外语氛围中耳濡目染，我会一如既往热爱外语，砥砺前行。
The motto carved on our wall, “Head towards the world from here” reflects the thick atmosphere of foreign language learning. In class, our teachers Helen and Jag are always there answering questions patiently. During the limited class time, we listen to outstanding leaders giving speeches from every corner in the world, read and admire original English textbooks, and analyze classical masterpieces. Thanks to my teachers, I am able to learn knowledge through vivid lessons, and fall in love with the subject in the meantime. Colorful after-school activities like Model United Nations, World Food Prize and Foreign Language Art Festivals also contribute to my growth. Thanks to Shijiazhuang Foreign Language School, not only have I polished my oral English, but also gained a broader horizon of the world. It is my belief that practice makes perfect. It is through practicing day by day that we can get a good command of language. The certificate is the recognition of my hard work in the past, and I will continue to improve and never give up.

在得知自己获得全国英语能力竞赛二等奖之后，先是惊诧，再是欣喜。惊诧是因为这个考试已经过去太久以致我都忘了还有这么一个考试。欣喜呢则是因为这个奖算是对我英语学习的一个认可。说来有趣，从小学2年级到现在学了这么多年的英语，这个或许是自己得过含金量最高的奖。这其实也跟我对英语的态度有关，英语是一个学科，却又不仅仅是一个学科，更是一门蕴含丰富文化的语言。随着对英语学习的深入，我也就有了更多深入了解英语国家文化的能力，当然自是乐在其中。知之者不如好之者，好之者不如乐之者说的就是这个道理。
Having been informed that I have won the NEPCS prize, I felt both surprised and delighted. I regard this prize as an acknowledgement of my English study. I started learning English in grade 2 and from then on, the process of English learning is both joyful and worthwhile . English, as a language, is a great tool to better understand the culture of English-speaking country. If you really enjoy something, the process of learning will be come much more easier and more effective and this is my experience of English learning.

我由衷的感谢全国英语能力竞赛及其主办方和活动承办方为全国热爱英语，并且勇于挑战自己的中学生提供这样一个宽阔的平台。同时，我也想感谢我的班主任王红老师一直以来对我的督促，以及我的其他两位英语老师声玥和胡金婕，对我的学习生活产生了积极的影响与作用，成绩是她们教导有方的结果。
除此之外，感谢自己一直以来坚持英语学习，感谢自己在无论任何逆境迎来时都坚持目标守住的那份勇气，感谢自己在准备此次比赛时全力以赴的热情。接下来是想和大家分享的一些一直激励着我的话：

I am truly grateful for NEPCS as well as the sponsor and organizer who provide such a broad platform for all the middle school students who ardently love English and like to challenge themselves. In the meantime, I’d like to express my gratitude to Helen, our head teacher, who exerted an existentially positive impact on me by pushing me so hard, and also my English teachers Emma and Tracy. Due to their patient guidance, I am making progress step by step.
In addition, I want to thank myself for persisting in my love for English learning, for having courage to confront whatever adversities so that I can firmly stick to my goal, as well as the passion when preparing for the competition. The following are some words which encouraged me most:

5人进入全市总分前10名，44人进入全市总分前百名。2019年高考本一上线率97%,清北录取率达到4.9%。127名学生顺利保送全国重点大学，占全省保送人数的88.2%，占全市保送人数的95%。
